Clytee Wallace Bennett – Obituary

Clytee Wallace Bennett, 92, passed away Friday, December 23, 2016, at the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born October 8, 1924, in Itawamba County to Elmer and Grace Bowen Wallace. A life-long seamstress, she retired from Itawamba Manufacturing and did clothing alterations for the public. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church. She enjoyed word find puzzles and being around her family. An avid cook who loved cooking for her family, she was famous for her coconut cake and peppermint candy cake, among other specialties.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 27, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Darrell Sanderson officiating. Burial will be in the Keyes Cemetery.

Survivors include her children, James Arlin (Peggy) Loden of Tampa, Florida, Billy Mack (Rhonda Kay) Bennett of Cardsville, and Donna Murrell of Dorsey; her grandchildren, Denise Loden, Jason Bennett, Melanie Murrell, Anna Murrell, and Matthew Bennett; her great-grandchildren, Zach Bennett, Nicholas Loden, Nickey James Loden, and Lola Atkinson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands Arlin Dale Loden and C.G. “Jim” Bennett; her brothers, Ray Wallace and James Wallace; a grandson, Nickey Loden; and her son-in-law, Terry Murrell.

Pallbearers will be Jason Bennett, Matthew Bennett, Zach Bennett, Jon Conn, Don Wallace, and Eric Cooley.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 26, at the funeral home.
