Clyde Walker, Jr. of Waynesboro, TN was born on March 21, 1934 in Waynesboro, TN the son of the late Percy Clyde Walker, Sr., Mamie Cannon Walker and Nola Tinin Walker. He was united in marriage to the former Shirley Ann Ary on June 29, 1955. Mr. Walker retired as a machinist for Lincoln Brass, an expert Volkswagen mechanic and was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Waynesboro, TN. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #127 and the Lincoln Brass local union 2325 Waynesboro. Mr. Walker departed this life on Friday, April 15, 2022 in Waynesboro, TN at the age of 88 years and 25 days.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Ary Walker, Waynesboro, TN; daughters, Sherry Heard, husband, Johnny, Collinwood, TN and Tina Alhashimi, Waynesboro, TN; four grandchildren, Austin Smith, Caleb Alhashimi, Jacob Alhashimi and McKinley Heard and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his biological parents, Mr. Walker was preceded in death by Nola Tinin Walker, the mother who raised him as her own after his mother passed and sisters, Irma Lee Mitchell and Loys Smith.
Memorial services will be on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Waynesboro, TN with Jim Beavers, Kevin Myers and David Miller. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Waynesboro, TN.
Memorial visitation will be Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm service time at the church. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be given to the Butterfly Foundation, Waynesboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church or to a charity of the senders choice.
