Clyde Marion “Pool Shooter” Parmer, 82 crossed over on Thursday, Oct 11, 2018 at Diversicare in Tupelo after a brief illness. A lifelong Lee Countian born on July 27, l936 to the late Marlin E. Parmer and Gracie Lavelle Helms Parmer, Clyde worked in many places over the years but enjoyed being an equipment operator with Hodges Construction many years before his retirement. A practical jokester and prankster, Clyde was known as a genuine character. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and shooting pool. He loved a cell phone and didn’t hesitate to answer it when his wife, Dorothy’s funeral took place in July, 2018. This good ole boy really enjoyed life and will be missed!
His service will be at 3 PM Sunday, October 14, 2018 from the Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Bob O’Neal officiating. Burial will follow at Auburn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 PM-service time Sunday only at Holland-Tupelo Chapel.
Clyde leaves his large family to mourn his passing: Denise Parmer, Clyde, Parmer, Jr. (Lana), Mike Parmer (Sunnie), Deb Parmer, Suzy Parmer (Johnny) and Ricky Parmer (Amy). His grands: Nikki Parmer, Karli Rodgers, Ben Parmer (Samantha), whom he helped raise as his own, Gracie Owen and Cameron Hall. His greats, Stormi Brown, Sky Gilland, Jaxson Parmer and Maci Rodgers. His niece, Beverly Lawson whom he helped raised and several other nieces and nephews. Special friends, Robin and Jerry Rodgers and Jill Shubert and also his beloved dachshund Mr. Elvis.
