Funeral services Celebrating the Life Clovis Daniel (Danny) Morton, 79, will be held Thursday at 2:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home with Brad Dillingham officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Gardens.Visitation will be held Thursday 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Memorial Funeral Home
Danny passed away on June 25, 2026 at his residence. He was born March 21,1947 in Alcorn Co. Ms to the late Clovis Edward and Virginia Faye Morton. Mr. Morton was a member of West Corinth Church of Christ and was a 1965 graduate of Biggersville High School where he earned a basketball scholarship to Northeast MS Junior College. He served in the US Army and was stationed in New Jersey and enjoyed working in his yard and Major League Baseball.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-laws; Billy Wayne Smith and Larry McCollum.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Beverly Barker Morton; daughter, Nichi Morton; grandson, Daniel Hackett and sisters, Dottie Smith and Myra McCollum.
