Mr. Clifford Perry Simmons, age 61, a resident of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Tuesday morning, December 26, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 4PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Allen Armstrong officiating. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 2-4PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on June 23, 1956 in Columbia, Clifford was the son of the late Clifford Simmons and the late Ruth Willbanks Simmons. He was a member of One Tree Life Church in Mt. Pleasant and was previously a member of the Maury Rural Volunteer Fire Department. Clifford enjoyed cruising around town and spending time with his grandkids. He also loved horses.
He is survived by his daughters: Jessica Lopez, Leah Simmons, Brandi (Thad) Giddens all of Columbia; sister: Vickey Simmons (Jimmy) Redden of Texas; and grandchildren: Nallely Reyna, Alizabeth Lopez, Arazely Lopez, Janaiya Simmons, Jasmine Simmons, Harlie Trenary, and TJ Giddens.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Sheila Simmons; and brother: James Simmons.
Honorary pallbearers will include: Jason Simmons, Travis Redden, Norvel “G” Willbanks, Jorden Hall, Seneca Cantrell, Jonathan Tarpley, and Matthew Gibson
