Rev. Cletius Stanley Hendon, 78, of Florence, passed away on December 22, 2016 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital. He was a pastor for fifty years and the last church he served in was Hackleburg United Methodist Church. He was a United States Navy Veteran.
Visitation will be on Monday, December 26, 2016 at Greenview Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will immediately follow in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Hendon and sister, Barbara McCarley.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Huffine; son, Michael Hendon; daughter, Donna Pitts and Deborah Guyton; sister, Carolyn Patrick; grandchildren, Ray, Randy and Robbie Gutyon, Michael Patrick and Stephanie Hendon and Justin and Kerry Hoffman; great-grandchildren, C.J. , Rylee, Daniel and Randy Guyton Jr., Jennifer and Levi Guyton, Kierston, Callie, Rhett and Maylee Guyton, Davis and Dawson Hoffman and Aaliyah Hendon.
Grandsons and son – in – law will serve as pallbearers.
