Faye Comeens of Haleyville, Alabama passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church.
Clavis loved her family, church and never met a stranger. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved cooking on all holidays and having her family together. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Thanks to her special friend Ruth for always being ready to go with mom and helping her.
There will be a graveside service Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Macedonia Cemetery with Mike Alexander officiating. The family asks that everyone practice social distancing and wear masks.
Pallbearers will be Charles Carter, Cody Alexander, Jessie Comeens and Mike Alexander.
Ms. Comeens is survived by her daughter, Kathy Comeens Carter & her husband, Charles; and sons, Rick Comeens and Chris Comeens & his wife, Valeria; grandchildren (her Pride and Joy) Brandon Carter, Destiny Carter, Nick Comeens and Mallory Comeens; niece, Sharon (Mike) Alexander; a special “thank you” to Mike for always being there with his arm out and ready to escort Mom to her car after church. We’ll always be grateful for you and your caring heart; and niece, Donna (Leon) Dodd and family; Thanks to all of you for checking on Mom and I all week and for always being there when we needed you.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Lessie Gilbert; husband, Ordie L. Comeens and her siblings.
