  F.4.3.24 online Claudia V Filloramojpg.jpgClaudia V. Filloramo, 87, of Sheffield, passed away March 29, 2024.

Claudia was born in Washington D.C. on July 9, 1936. She graduated from the University of Maryland and went on to teach school. Claudia then proceeded to be a trailblazer for women in business in the 1960’s. She managed, owned, and operated many businesses in Washington D.C. before moving to Panama City, Florida in 1980 to pioneer a brand-new industry. Over the next 40 years Claudia and her two grown children developed several successful businesses. Only semi-retired, in 2018 Claudia moved to North Alabama to be with her daughter and two of her grandsons.

Once settled in Alabama she became a member of Grace Episcopal Church and an avid prayer warrior serving on the intercessory prayer team. Claudia touched a lot of lives and made a lasting impact on many.

Claudia was preceded in death by her grandson, Jonathan Cole Vasta.

Survivors include her son, John Joseph Vasta (Peggy), daughter, Charlotte-ann Filloramo; grandchildren, Michael Alan Stevens, John Vasta Stevens (Brooke), Cristina Vasta Jansenius (Joseph); great-grandchildren, Kaden Green, Cole Elizabeth Jansenius, Robert Joseph Jansenius III; brother, Bruno Vasta and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Memorials may be made to Grace Episcopal Church, Sheffield, AL.
