Claudia Hanson Hyde went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Huntsville Hospital, after a prolonged illness.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 39 years, Rev. Daniel M. Hyde, her mother, Loretta Hanson, her family, Nathan (Susan) Hyde, Danelle (Joe) Pate, Susan (Brent) Van Hook, grandchildren Lindsey, Hannah, Jonathan, Benjamin, Matthew, Lauren, John David, brother, Forrest Hanson, Jr., and niece Rachel (Michael) Lorenzo, and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Forrest Hanson, brother David and sisters Becky and Millie.

Claudia was born on April 17, 1950 in Sanford, Maine. She received her degree from Trevecca University in education. She also graduated with a minor in vocal music. She taught elementary education for 37 years, spending time teaching migrant students in the summer. On May 24, 1980 she married Daniel Hyde, and was in ministry with him for nearly 30 years.

Her hobbies included writing poetry, genealogy studies, painting and singing. She also loved to spend time with her grandchildren and celebrate holidays.

The funeral will be held at the Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd. NE, Huntsville, AL 35811, 256.852.8500 at 3:00p.m., viewing begins at 2:00 – interment will follow the service.
