Claudette Elayne Whitener, age 78 of Gaylesville, passed away Thursday morning at her residence. Mrs. Whitener was born on July 18, 1943 to the late Cliff & Christine Webb Colbert in Fulton County, Georgia. Elayne was a Co-Founder of Friends For Life Incorporated and an Eastern Star.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 12 noon until 3 p.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Harrell Whitener; son, Sandy Whitener; several brothers & sisters; grandchildren, Jesse Clay and wife, Ashley; great-grandchildren, Alexis Clay and Jocelyn Tague; and son-in-law, Sean Clay.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and daughter, Teena Clay.
