Claude Sutton, age 86, of Russellville Ala., passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014.
The visitation will be from noon-2:30 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2014, at Akins Funeral Home. The 2:30 funeral will follow in the chapel of Akins Funeral Home. Brother Randy Bracken will be officiating. Burial will follow in Franklin Memory Garden.
Pallbearers will be Randy Seal and Bryan Sutton, grandsons, Kevin Smith, Greg Little, and Keith Little, and great-grandson, Joshua Seal.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Jean Sutton.
Claude and his wife, Jean, owned and operated Sutton’s Electric from 1968 until 1995. They were active in the community and sponsored Sutton’s Electric softball teams for several years.
He is survived by his children, Linda S. Wood, Harlin Lee (Chuck) Sutton, Pat Little and husband, Jerry, Penny McCleskey, and Jerry (Bull) Sutton and wife, Saloane;
siblings, Bobby Sutton, Carl Sutton, Dorothy Bell, and Juanita Logan;
nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren;
and a host of nieces and nephews.
