Claude Irwin Harris, Jr., 96, of Jasper, passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at his residence.
Family will be receiving friends on Thursday, July 13, 2023, from 9 until 10 a.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Service will follow at 10 a.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial at Walker Memory Gardens. Bro. Rick Sherer will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Joyce Banks Harris; children, Gary Harris and Rhonda Harris Key (Danny); parents, Claude Harris Sr. and Ollie Lee Harris; siblings, Clara Belle Tubbs, Carlin Harris, Clamon Harris, Bernice Duncan, Jeanette Nix, Aileen Chamness, Edith Pope, Bruce Harris, and Walter Will Harris; in-laws, William Harvey and Mary Carmichael Banks.
He is survived by his children, Susan Renee Harris Miller (Paul), John Mark Harris and Mary Elizabeth Shows (Dalton); grandchildren, Stacy Key, Allyson Key, Holly Tidwell, Amber Harris Kimbrell (Clint), Melody Phillips Smith (Jason), Russ Harris and Carter Shows; great grandchildren, Aubrey, Logan, Lucas, Piper, Gracen and Henderson; daughter-in-law, Robin Harris; brothers, Albert Harris (Brenda) and Ronald Harris (Rita); sister-in-law, Sandra Harris and Ann Harris and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
