Clarice Marie Lovelace Adams Biffle, 90, died April 4, 2016 in Hixson, Tennessee.
Marie was born July 9, 1925 in Florence, Alabama, and graduated from Coffee High School in 1943. She was a past Eastern Star Chapter 195 Worthy Matron.
She lived in Lauderdale County for 60 years before living 5 years in Memphis TN and Millbrook AL. She lived the last 25 years in Hixson TN with her son Greg and his family.
Marie loved her children, her grandchildren, her Stuart Heights Church family and Sunday school class (Marie’s Kids), B.A.L.L. Club (Senior Adult group), and her fur baby Vino. She had a gift for reaching others through her weekly ministry of sending handwritten letters and church bulletins to those who were unable to attend services.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Charles Beve “Buck” Adams Jr. and Marion Frederick “Freddy” Adams; husbands Charles Beve “Buck” Adams Sr. and Dean Biffle; parents Reuben Henry and Annie Dee Livingston Lovelace; brother Reuben Arnold Lovelace; and sister, Ora Mae Lovelace Poague.
Marie is survived by a daughter, Beverly Skipworth (Payton); a son, Greg Adams (Kay); 12 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Greenview Funeral Home on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Pisgah cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Mike Hendon officitating.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren; honorary pallbearers will be “Marie’s Kids”.
