Clarice Dees, 102, died January 18, 2015. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 20, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel. David Lee will be officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Clarice went to be with her Lord and Savior. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tuscumbia. Clarice was born November 21, 1912, and lived a wonderful and active long life. She loved her family, church, gardening, and visiting with her friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Maggie Peters, husbands, George Spenser and William Roy Dees, and her brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Reba Peters.
Survivors include sister, Mary Margaret Diaz (Bob), and their children, Linda, Lee Ann, Robbie, and Mark; nephew, Pete Peters (Claudette), and their children, Cathy Henderson, Leigh Anne West, and Chuck Peters; nephew, Tommy Peters (Patsy), and their children, Courtney Corbin, Casey Jeffreys, and Clint Peters; along with a host of great nieces and nephews; granddaughter, Stephanie Dees Knapp (Jeff), and their children, Eric and Kevin, and her mother, Lee Giesecke (John); stepson, William T. Dees (Gwynn), and their children, Ryan, Matthew, and Megan; cousin, Dimple Floyd, and her family.
Memorials may be made to 1st Methodist Church of Tuscumbia, Al.
