Funeral service for Clarice Crane DeVaney, age 84, of Madison, will be Thursday, January 30, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ricky Lowery officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service. Interment will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. DeVaney, who died Sunday, January 26, 2014, at her residence, was born June 1, 1929, in Dennis, MS, to James Crane and Sarah Clark Crane. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. U. “Hoss” DeVaney, and two daughters, Rita Sartain and Cindy Hargrave.
She is survived by two sons, Jimmy DeVaney and Keith DeVaney, both of Madison; one daughter, Cammie McCaig of Tanner; one stepson, Hoyt DeVaney of Cherokee; fourteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
