Mr. Clarence Kenneth West, of Arab, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at the age of 78.
Mr. West was born on January 15, 1945 to Elbert Lee West and Helen McCutcheon West in Morgan County, Alabama. He was married to the love of his life Shirley May Hudgins West for over 59 years. He was a member of Little Gethsemane House of Prayer in Lacey’s Spring. Mr. West loved working security and loved working at Hudson Metal where he made several life-long friends. In his free time he could often be found having fun shooting his guns, especially his hand guns, and eating his fill of Little Debbie Cakes. His family was most important to him, and he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mr. West leaves precious memories behind to be cherished by his wife, Shirley West; sons, Rodney Keith West (Betty) and Kevin West; daughters, Aymie Ditto (Jason), Malinda Flippo (Roger) and Miranda West; brother, Larry West (Renee); sisters, Jean West and Faye Wilson; 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Mr. West is preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Helen West; daughter, Pam Finley; brother, Billy West; and sister, Christine Hill.
The family of Mr. West has elected cremation. A memorial service will be planned.
