Clarence “C.E.” Vincent, age 88 of Winchester, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2022, at The Waters of Winchester. C.E. was born on February 18, 1934, in Athens, Tennessee to the late Hugh Turney and Alpha Omega (Arnett) Vincent. C.E. is a 1952 class graduate of Franklin County High School. He was a life-long cattle and crop farmer on Blair Pond Road who could often drive thru the field to check on his Salers cattle. C.E. was a devoted Christian man who studied his bible daily, was a Deacon Emeritus and Sunday School teacher at the Estill Springs First Baptist Church, and a charter member of the Franklin County Camp of The Gideons International. His unwavering determination to help others through his community led him to be a servant of the community. In 1969 he was the Tennessee Young Dairyman of the Year, a Franklin County Commissioner for twelve years, and President of the Tennessee Holstein Association as well as Soil Conservation chairmen.
In addition to his parents, C.E. is preceded in death by his brothers, Paul H. Vincent and Arnold Vincent. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-nine years, Marvarene (Garner) Vincent of Winchester; daughter, Kareen Vincent-Goodwin of Huntsville; son, Eddie (Jill) Vincent of Winchester; grandchildren, Clinton Vincent, Micah S. (Candace) Vincent and Anna Marie Goodwin all of Winchester and great-grandson, Ethan W. Vincent.
Visitation for C.E. will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022, from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 10:00am in the chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Pastor John Segree and Pastor David Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
