, 86, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Nov. 6, 2014. She was a graduate of the University of North Alabama, an accomplished seamstress, embroiderer, and home decorator, and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an active member of Middletown United Methodist Church and a former member of Southeast Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Lester I. Adams, her son, Steven W. Adams, and her parents, Edna and James Worthington.
She is survived by her son, Lester I. Adams Jr. (Jennifer); daughter, Lisa A. Saylor (Barry); brothers, James A. Worthington and William B. Worthington, D.M.D.; grandchildren, Lindsay S. Raia (Bobby), Christopher Saylor, Zoe Adams, and Andrew Adams; and great-grandson, Cruz Robert Raia.
A celebration of her life will be held at noon on Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, at Middletown United Methodist Church, 11902 Old Shelbyville Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40243, with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Visitation will be on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, from noon to 5 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243, and on Monday, Nov. 10, 2014, in the chapel at Middletown United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. to the time of the service.
