Clara Louise Allen Wiedemeyer, 75, of Leighton passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020. Visitation will be Monday, July 20, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 21, in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Mark Mayfield officiating.
Louise was a native of Colbert County and a member of Leighton Baptist Church where she worked as the custodian before retiring. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and the Red Hat Society and enjoyed playing Mrs. Claus for many years.
Louise was preceded in death by her son, Dale Wiedemeyer, Jr.; grandson, Chad Wiedemeyer; parents, Mack and Norene Allen; and brothers, Charles and Leon Allen.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, James D. “Jimmy” Wiedemeyer, Sr.; daughters, Regenia Thomas (Marty) and Shelly Sharp-King (Tim); daughter-in-law, Ronda Wiedemeyer; sister, Brenda Rumble (Harry); grandchildren, Tina Shinabery (Jason), Kristy Thomas, Shayla Braly (Cody), Coby King (Skyler), Morgan Sharp, Tucker Sharp, Marion Sharp, and Logan King.; great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Brooklyn Shinabery, Maddie King, Espynn and Lakelynn Braly, Raelynn and Adalynn King; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Northwest Shoals Community College Foundation.
