Clara Alice Dobson, 89, of Gadsden, AL went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 16, 2020. A graveside service will be held at Corinth Cemetery in Wedowee, AL on Monday, December 21, 2020, at 11:00a.m. Rev. Ryan Morris will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Service is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Clara was born in Randolph County in 1931. Clara married her husband, Lou Dobson, in 1961. She was a graduate of Randolph County High School class of 1949. Clara worked at Wakefield’s Dept. Store in Anniston, AL for nine years. She later moved to Iowa where she worked at First bank of Davenport as the personnel manager. Clara loved to do word puzzles and enjoyed spending time with her neighbors. Clara is preceded in death by her husband, J Louis (Lou) Dobson; parents, Humphrey and Verta Williams Barden; and sisters, Marjorie Braden Baker and Jerusha Braden; and great-grandchild, Lincoln David Jensen.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Jeff) Jensen of Illinois; step-grandchildren, Joe (Alicia) Jensen, and Preston (Jenna) Jensen all of Illinois; step-great-grandchildren, Karie, Brian, Bella, and Carter all of Illinois; sister, Mary Braden of Wedowee, AL; brother, Rudolph Braden of Oxford, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
