Clair A “Cap” Kepler, age 91, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. Clair was born in Burnham, Pennsylvania to Ivy and Clair Kepler Sr.
Cap met and married the love of his life Marcella in June 29, 1951 in Mexico, Pennsylvania, together they grew a big family. Cap work in civil service for the Department of the US Army in 1952 at Letterkenny Army Base in Chambersburg, PA and ended his career with the US Army Missile command in 1989. Away from work he enjoyed watching the Auburn Tiger or the Atlanta Braves, traveling and making stops to go fishing. He also like playing his guitar, listening to music or sitting down to watch a western movie usually something with John Wayne.
Left to cherish Cap memories are his wife, Marcella Jones; daughter, Debra Kepler of Huntsville, Alabama; sons, Lee Kepler of Ft. Myers, Florida, Rick Kepler of Hampton Cove, Alabama, Jack Kepler of Huntsville, Alabama, and Jeff Kepler of Chattanooga, Tennessee; 9 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren,
Cap was preceded in death by his parents, Clair Sr and Ivy Kepler; brother, Jerry Kepler; sister, Carol Yetter; and a granddaughter, Sara Ashley Kepler.
A visitation for Clair will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Valhalla Funeral Home, 698 Winchester Rd Ne, Huntsville, Alabama 35811, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 AM. Burial in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
