TUSCUMBIA-The City of Tuscumbia is requesting the public’s feedback on ongoing efforts to recruit new businesses to the city. All residents are encouraged to go on the City’s Facebook Page and comment on the recent post asking what people would like to see come to the downtown area.
“Exciting times are ahead for Tuscumbia,” Mayor Kerry Underwood said. “We want the public’s input as to what they’d like to see come here. We are aggressively working to recruit new and exciting businesses to our city, especially the downtown area. We are about to start repaving roads throughout the city and are working to clean up dilapidated properties that have been hurting property values.”

Mayor Underwood hopes that public feedback on the Facebook post can be used to attract investors and entrepreneurs looking for a place to open a business. “Of course we can’t just pick who we want, but if we can get a significant number of public comments, we can show them to investors and entrepreneurs in the area so they can get an idea of what would succeed here. Investors take public input very seriously when considering what kinds of businesses to open and where.”
