Cindy Charlene Johnson Scott, 54, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL. She was born November 23, 1971 to the late Tommy Johnson and Sendy Royce Thompson Johnson. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. She was a lifelong resident of Itawamba County. Cindy was in the Fulton Grammar School band beginning in the 6th grade on through 12th grade at I.A.H.S. and won an award for top clarinet in the high school band. She was a great seamstress, she could make all kinds of clothing. Cindy loved animals and dearly loved vacationing at the beach. She retired from ICC as the Secretary for the Dean of Health Science’s and worked various roles in administration. She was very giving to those in need and was quite a crafty decorator.
Services will be Thursday 2:00 pm on September 3, 2026, at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Brad Haumesser officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 Thursday all in the Senter Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be at Dennis Memory Gardens. Senter Funeral Directors is honored to serve the family.
Survivors include her husband of seven years, Donald Scott of Fulton; daughters, Payton Scott and Jessica Orrick; mother, Sendy Johnson; step-son, McKinley (Elizabeth) Scott; step-grandson, Lee Scott; sister, Teresa (Robert) Orr; nieces: Katie (Samuel) Carretto, Caroline Orr, Alexis (Alex) Galloway, Lacie (Andrew) Jones; sister-in-law, Donna (Michael) Powers; cousins: Gina (Neal) Pope and James (Ashley) Payne; aunt, Melzie Payne; mother-in-law, Mary Ann Scott.
