Christopher Vann Grissett, 52, passed away Oct. 1, 2016, at ECM Hospital after a brief illness. Visitation will be at Greenview Memorial Chapel Saturday, Oct. 8, from noon-2 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Bob Grissett, and his brother, R. Scott Grissett.
He is survived by his wife, Elisa Zaleski Grissett; daughters, Taylor C. Grissett and Cara Zaleski; mother, Shirley L. Grissett; brothers, Kerry S. and Lans D. Grissett; two nephews, Stephen G. and Nathan L. Grissett; and two nieces, Sydney S. and Haley R. Grissett; and many beloved friends.
Chris graduated from Kilby, Appleby, Coffee, and UNA with a B.S. degree in Accounting and Management Information Systems and continued to further his education with additional courses at various institutions. He formed his own company, EC Consulting, Inc., and over the years worked for many companies and the U.S. government in this country and Mexico making friends wherever he was.
Chris, like his dad, was always thinking of others. He was kind and thoughtful.
After visitation and during the memorial service, please feel free to share your memories and happy times with Chris. If that’s not possible, remember Chris will love the fact that you were here with him and for him over the years, the last few days, and today.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Florence-Lauderdale Public Library or a charity of your choice.
