Funeral for Christopher Steven Carpenter, 47, of Town Creek will be Friday, July 5, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Rick Gilley officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Carpenter, who died Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Lawrence Medical Center, was born February 16, 1966, in Colbert County to Hillard Carpenter and Betty Joyce Bunnell Carpenter Bolan. He was a chemical operator for Nova Chemicals. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Town Creek. He was preceded in death by his father, Hillard Carpenter; stepfather, Bobby Bolan; and grandparents, Hill and Myrtle Carpenter and Howard and Myrtle Bunnell.

Survivors include his wife, Terri Hill Carpenter; son, Christopher Dustin Carpenter of Town Creek; daughter, Sydnie Maree Carpenter of Town Creek; mother, Betty Joyce Bunnell Carpenter Bolan of Town Creek; brother, Mike Carpenter of Town Creek; stepbrother, Phillip Bolan of Trinity; and stepsister, Theresa Terry of Muscle Shoals.

Pallbearers will be Keith Cottingham, Donnie “Hoot” Gibson, Roger “Worm” Peebles, Ethan Carpenter, Hunter Harper, David Lee Scoggin, Mark Jinks, Charles Pittman, Bobby Joe Grishamand Patrick Bunnell.
