Funeral Service for Christopher Lee “Chris” Seal, 54, will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Hartselle with Bro Scotty Hogan and Bro Preston Adams officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be prior to the service at the church from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery.
Chris was born on December 21, 1971, in Morgan County, to Carolyn Joan Dolan Seal and Walter Lendon Seal. He passed away at Huntsville Hospital on July 20, 2026.
Chris was a Park Superintendent for the Decatur City Parks and Recreation Dept. He was a devoted husband and loving father whose greatest joy was supporting his children in all that they did. He was a 1990 graduate of Decatur High School and a lifelong Alabama Crimson Tide fan, ROLL TIDE. He coached many baseball and basketball teams in Decatur and Hartselle and got great enjoyment out of running the clock at basketball games for Decatur High School, Hartselle High School, Calhoun Community College, and that one time at UAH. Before attending First Baptist Church of Hartselle, he taught Sunday school at Westmeade Baptist Church.
His father preceded him in death.

Son- Dawson Seal
Daughter- Elaina “Laney” Seal
Mother- Carolyn Seal
Brothers- Jeff Seal (Kristi) and his twin, Curt Seal (Kim)
Sister- Lynette Thomas (Jimbo)
Nieces- Leyton Seal, Kyndall Anderson (Ethan), Caroline Seal, Kristen Seal, and Ashleigh Thomas
Nephews- Charlie Thomas, Jay Seal, and Bryson Seal.
And a great-nephew who is expected in September.
Pallbearers will be his Decatur Parks and Recreation friends.
