Christopher Lee “Cham” Chamness, 43, passed from this earth on Thursday, September 23, 2021. He was born in Jasper, Alabama on February 27, 1978. He started playing guitar at age 12 and became known as a notable musician in North Alabama. He spent years working in the music industry as a touring musician, studio musician, guitar teacher, and a sound equipment technician.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home, funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel. Burial will be at Boldo Cemetery. Paul Anderson will officiate.
Mr. Chamness was preceded in death by his Father-Jimmy Chamness; Grandparents-Bo Chamness, Red and Mildred Mayo.
He is survived by his Girlfriend-Robyn Counts of Gardendale; Mother-Janice Chamness of Montevallo; Sister-Beth-Anne Blair (Lance) of Sumiton; Niece-Lainey Blair; Nephew-Grayson Blair; Grandmother-Aileen Chamness of Jasper; Beloved fur baby-Vandal.
