Christine Redding Parker, 88, of Florence, Alabama died on January 24, 2021 in Dothan, Alabama after a brief illness. Christine was a lifelong resident of Lauderdale County. She was a graduate of Rogers High School and attended the Church of the Highlands. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with and caring for her family. Her faith in God was complete and undeniable.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Florence Redding; her brothers, Rufus Redding and Elmer Redding; her husband of fifty-four years, Luther Daniel Parker; her infant son, Daniel Parker and her infant grandson, Jackson Parker.
She is survived by siblings, Thelma Watson and Harvey Redding, Jr; children, Joseph L Parker (Kay), Rebecca P Thompson (Michael), and Anita G Parker; grandchildren, Cole Caviness, Lauren Parker, Parker Caviness, Karsten Parker, Ashley T Herring (Will); great grandchildren, Madilyn Herring, Reese Herring and Isaiah Herring.
Service will be held at Greenview Funeral Home in Florence on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 11:00 am followed by graveside service.
