Christine Phillips McWilliams – Obituary

christineChristine Phillips McWilliams, 96, went to be with the Lord on July 13, 2015, after a lengthy illness. She was at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She lived her entire life in Franklin County and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Mt. Star Homemakers Club, and was active in church and the community.

The family will receive friends today from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 16, 2015, at Bethlehem Baptist Church with Brother Jeff Fleming, Brother Randy Taylor, and Brother Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service at 10 a.m. with the funeral following at 11 a.m.

Survivors include children, Landon Eugene McWilliams (Emily), Bobby Kenneth McWilliams (Mary Nell), Norma Racine Baker (Lloyd), Carolyn Marie Sockwell (Edwin), Larry Warren McWilliams (Diane), and Sharon Lynn Hovater (Jim); 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by husband, Wiley Warren McWilliams, and sisters and brothers, Annie Thompson (William), Lena Gipson (Charley), Myrtle Long (J.W.), Harbert Phillips

(Flossie), and Homer Phillips.
