Christine Mitchell Hargett, age 86, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Hargett always wanted to take care of everyone, especially her family. She loved having company and telling stories of growing up and times of picking cotton. She was a hardworking woman, who was always a good listener and always good for advice. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, James Roy Howard, Plas Hargett, Jr.; son, Carl Junior Hargett; daughter, Barbara Gail Howard; parents, Charlie & Mary Elizabeth (Byrd) Mitchell; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Denise Presley; grandchildren, Christina Presley, Monica Gloyd; great-grandson, J.D. Gloyd; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. James McCullar officiating. Burial will be at Franklin Memory Gardens. The pallbearers will be Donnie Pruit, Daniel Pruit, William Hargett, Randle Moore, Eric James, and Lemar Darty.
