Mrs. Christine Mardis Newman, the Matriarch of the Falkville Smith Clan, went to see Jesus on Tuesday, October 28, 2014. She survived her former husbands: Howard Mardis and J.T. Newman and is survived by: One Son,
Mike Newman, One Daughter, Pam Brammer, Daughter-in-law,
Susie Mardis, Three Grandchildren, Mardy Brammer, Mica Mardis and
Jason Mardis, and Five Great Grand Children, Chanler Mardis, Kody, Evan, Molly and Lexie Brammer.
She will be missed by countless friends, relatives, her church community, and the Sunshine Ladies.
Funeral service for Christine Newman, 89, will be Thursday, October 30, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Aaron Warnick officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery near Falkville. Visitation will be Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
