Christine M. Medckie age 86 of Athens passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025 at her residence. Mrs. Medckie was born July 20, 1939 in Madison County, Alabama. She was retired from Kroger and a member of Berea Baptist Church, in Athens. Services will be 2 pm Saturday in the chapel of Spry Funeral Home with Pat Lawrence officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 12 noon until service time. Burial will be Tuesday December 2, 2025 at 2 pm (Eastern) at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens in Rome, Georgia.
Survivors include her children, Patricia (Chuck) Berkenbile. Brenda (Greg) Hill. Nancy (Tim) Cook. James (Angie) Tate and Sondra Tate. Step Children, Billy Medckie, Bobby Medckie and Archie Medckie Jr. Sixteen Grandchildren, twenty two Great Grandchildren and seven Great Great Grandchildren. Sister, Nell Medley. Brother, Charles Markham. Several Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Archie Dale Medckie and several siblings.
