Funeral services for Christine Kitchens Pike McRight, 88, of Hartselle, will be today, November 1, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Wendell Callahan officiating. Burial will be in Basham Cemetery. Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. McRight passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at her residence. She was born August 5, 1925, in Lawrence County. She was a co-owner of Pike Grocery and a homemaker. She loved to fish and was a member of Summit Church and loved her family.
Mrs. McRight was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Henry Clayburn Pike, and by husband of eight years, Davis McRight; her parents, James Bailey Kitchens and Anna Jane Pitt Kitchens; son, Benny Clayburn Pike; two brothers, four sisters and a special friend, J.L. Murphy.
She is survived by her daughter, Saundra Pike Thomas (Bobby) of Hartselle; two grandchildren, Deanna Thomas and Tanya Thomas; and one great-grandchild, Dewanna Garrett.
Pallbearers will be nephews and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Thompson and Charles Lane.
