For over 50 years, “Ginny” and “Pop” were faithful members of Calvary Baptist Church. She always made sure they arrived in plenty of time to sit in their “regular pew”. Catching up with friends and loved ones was always a special part of her Sunday morning.
For 38 years, “Ginny” and her best friend, Mary Estes Sullivan, co-owned Broadway Beauty Shop. “Ginny” groomed, counseled, and loved on her friends/customers as she raised her own family, and in turn helped them raise theirs. She found so much pleasure in her endless list of to-do’s. Whether picking up local grandchildren from school, checking on her Booneville grandchildren, making sure neighborhood kids had a cool treat on a summer’s day, or delivering one of her delicious cakes to someone in need, “Ginny’s” mission was to always make someone happy. She loved spending time in the kitchen preparing specially planned dishes for everyone in her devoted family.
