Funeral Services for Mrs. Christine B. Waldrop, age 60 of Ashland, will be held on Thursday, January 1, 2026 at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Greg Dempsey officiating. Burial will follow at Ashland City Cemetery.
Mrs. Waldrop passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at her home. Christine was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County. She worked in the lunchroom at Ashland Elementary for 8 years but enjoyed being a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and traveling and was a member of Bowden Grove Baptist Church.
Mrs. Waldrop is survived by her husband of 40 years, Edward Waldrop; two sons, Edward Adam Waldrop and Jessie Colton Waldrop; five grandchildren, Noah, Aceson, Liam, Jessie and Ava; mother, Dorothy Dunaway; sister, Rachel Saffold and Steve; brother, Jimmy Ray Brand and Rita; several nieces and nephews and a large extended family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ross Brand; brother, Ross Brand, Jr and a grandson, Aaron..

Her visitation will take place on Thursday, January 1, 2026 before the funeral at Benefield Funeral Home in Ashland from 10:00 until 11:00.
