Christene Ball YarbroughFuneral Services for Mrs. Christene Ball Yarbrough were held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Bro. Buford Gaines and Johnathan Steen officiating. Burial followed in Sellers Cemetery in Randolph County.

Mrs. Christene Ball Yarbrough, age 87 of Delta, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at her daughter’s home in Randolph County surrounded by her family. Born in Randolph County to Moses Jasper Ball and Cora Sellers Ball on June 4, 1933, she lived all her life in Clay and Randolph County. She worked at Higgins Slacks for 13 years. She worked hard to provide for her children. She loved people and never met a stranger. She enjoyed sewing, doing word find puzzles, and quilting. She attended morning worship services at Diversicare.

Survivors included four daughters: Helen Brooks (Kenneth) of Ashland, Joyce Phillips (Barry Nelson) of Wedowee, Kathy Sprayberry (Keith) of Lineville and Cynthia Soleman (Mark) of Delta; one son, James Yarbrough Sr. (Susan) of Lineville; 6 grandchildren: Patricia Crowe, Brandon Knight (Jade), James Yarbrough Jr. (Breanna), Alaina Steen (Johnathan), Michael Koutsantanou (Maggie), and Gina Treadwell (Tyler); 4 great-grandchildren: Destiny Thomason, Bryson Knight, Greyson Knight, and Tucker Yarbrough.

She is preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Yarbrough, her parents, 6 half-brothers, 1 half-sister, and 2 sisters, Maudene Jordan and Harriet Spears.

Active Pallbearers were: be Mark Soleman, Brandon Knight, Michael Koutsantanou, James Yarbrough Jr., Johnathan Steen, and Keith Sprayberry.

Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville is in charge of arrangements.
