FLORENCE-Our volunteer bakers are working well into this week and next creating wonderful treats for Chloe’s Fund’s Bake Sale. We have Specialty Platters, cakes, cookies, pies, breads, doggy treats – just use your imagination! These items are made fresh to order and sell out before the day of Chloe’s Fund Jingle Paws Christmas Bake Sale on Saturday, December 21 from 10am-1pm.
Our Bake Sale Coordinator Lisa Wilson Rim has posted the menu on the Florence-Lauderdale Animal
Services Facebook page and Chloe’s Fund Facebook Page. Based on availability, items can be preordered. Lisa can also text the menu to you; contact her at 804-240-6880 (she’s local) or Direct Message her on Facebook to receive the Chloe’s Fund Holiday Bake Sale Menu. The deadline to pre-order the baked goods is Tuesday, December 17th at 3pm. Or, on Saturday, December 21st from 10am-1pm; our volunteers are usually inspired and bake more than ordered – you might find something you enjoy at the Bake Sale. You can also pick up your preordered goodies on Saturday, from 10am-1pm at the Florence-Lauderdale Animal Services building located at 3240 Roberson Road in Florence. All proceeds go to Chloe’s Fund, a 501(c)(3)which assists in Emergency Medical Expenses for our Shelter Animals and in Shelter Diversion.
Chloe’s Fund was started in March of 2017 after shelter volunteers, Glen and Debby Nelson lost their beloved dog of 16 years, Chloe. After Chloe’s passing, the Nelsons and their friends set out on a mission to help as many sick and injured Florence-Lauderdale Animal Services animals as possible. Since its inception, Chloe’s Fund vetted and saved the lives of more than 600 animals suffering from various illnesses and in need of medical attention.
