FLORENCE-Our volunteer bakers are working well into this week and next, creating wonderful treats for our upcoming Chloe’s Fund Bake Sale. We have our famous Sweet and Savory Cookie Platters, Cheese Balls, Cookies, Candy, Pies, Cakes, Breads, and of course, Doggy Treats – just use your imagination! These items are made fresh to order and sell out before the day of Chloe’s Fund Happy Paw-Lidays Bake Sale on Saturday, December 20 from 10am-1pm.
Our Bake Sale Coordinator Lisa Wilson Rim has posted the menu on the Florence-Lauderdale Animal Services Facebook page and Chloe’s Fund for Medical Needs of Florence Shelter Animal Facebook Page. Based on availability, itemscan be pre-ordered. Lisa can also text the menu to you; contact her at 804-240-6880 (she’s local) or Direct Message her on Facebook to receive the Chloe’s Fund Paw-Liday Bake Sale Menu. The deadline to pre-order baked goods is Tuesday, December 16th at 3pm. Our volunteers are usually inspired and bake more than ordered – you might find something you enjoy at the Bake Sale Goody Table! You can also pick up your pre-ordered treats on Saturday, from 10am-1pm at the Florence-Lauderdale Animal Services building located at 3240 Roberson Road in Florence. All proceeds go to Chloe’s Fund, a 501(c)(3)which assists in Emergency Medical Expenses for our Shelter Animals and in Shelter Diversion.
Chloe’s Fund was started in March of 2017 after shelter volunteers, Glen and Debby Nelson lost their beloved dog of 16 years, Chloe. After Chloe’s passing, the Nelsons and their friends set out on a mission to help as many sick and injured Florence-Lauderdale Animal Services animals as possible. Since its inception, Chloe’s Fund vetted and saved the lives of more than 600 animals suffering from various illnesses and in need of medical attention.
