THE SHOALS-Monday, may 11, Lauderdale county Chief Deputy Richard Richey received the 2015 Richard B. Biddle Award for Law Enforcement Excellence. Secretary Spencer Collier presented the award to Richey on behalf of the Greater Shoals/Sheffield and Florence Rotary Clubs.
The Richard B. Biddle Award For Law Enforcement Excellence is given each year to the person deemed to be the best example of a Law Enforcement Officer in the Shoals. This award goes to one officer selected from nominations throughout the Shoals area, and the nominations are then reviewed by members of the Tri-Cities Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 who then give their suggestions from the list to the Rotary Club.
