MOULTON – What happened to Moulton’s “Chicken & Egg Festival”? The event, which has been held for the past 9-years has evidently been cancelled by the Lawrence County Arts Council.
“I read about their decision in the paper this morning”, said Mayor Ray Alexander. “It came as a complete surprise to me.” Alexander told the Quad-Cities Daily that the City had always helped out the Arts Council with city services, police and financial support. “This is really going to affect our city”, he said. “I guess it just got too big for their limited resources.”
The Chicken & Egg Festival was a popular event that drew participants from all over Alabama and the South.
