Cheryl Wooten Davis, 68, passed peacefully from this life to her heavenly home, June 21, 2016 at Shearer Richardson Memorial Nursing Home. She was the first born daughter of Charles and Colleen Thomas on February 28, 1948.
She worked in the furniture industry for many years before retiring. Later in life, she worked as a sitter, caring for the elderly. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grand-mother. She loved all Gods’ creatures, especially cats and dogs, which she cared for many.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, June 23, 2016 in the Okolona Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Rev. Jane Houser officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:30 p.m. to service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her son, Charles Wooten and daughter, Charlotte Wooten; Grandchildren: Brian Wooten and Courtney Wooten; Great grandchildren: Dalys Wooten, A.J. Wooten and Noah Wooten; Sisters: Carol Culpepper (Robert) and Cyndy Moore; Brother: Clifton Thomas. She also leaves behind a very special friend of many years, Russell Smith.
She is preceded in death by her son, Ashley Wooten and daughter, Shelly Davis; Parents, Charles and Colleen Thomas; Brother, Charles Thomas, Jr. Sister, Chandra Alford.
