Charlsie Marie Montgomery Eaves, age 85, of Maryville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Saturday morning, April 15, 2023 at NHC Farragut.
Charlsie was a member of Alcoa United Methodist Church. She was a voracious reader, impressively intelligent, a loving wife, mother, step-mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Her steadfast loyalty, sense of humor and quick wit were appreciated by all that knew her. Born with scoliosis, Charlsie fought constantly to live her best life for 85 years. She was a brave woman! Charlsie is preceded in death by her first husband William Marvin Montgomery and second husband Garvis Eugene Eaves, parents Rev. Charles M. Gilliam, Jane Woodfin Gilliam, sister Carolyn Burg and step mother Virginia West Gilliam.
Charlsie is survived by her children Stacey Handel (Jeff), W. Dale Montgomery (Lori), Wendy Montgomery, sisters Barbara Bachner and Rose Heath, brother Robert Gilliam, stepchildren Cathy Sedberry (Bill) and Chris Eaves (May) eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather on Wednesday April 19th at 2:00 pm at Montgomery Cemetery in Moulton, Alabama 35650 with Rev. Leonard Turner officiating.
