Mrs. Charlotte Leeman Knight 81, of Decatur, passed away on August 6, 2022. Her visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Decatur from 6-8 PM. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Roselawn Cemetery.
Charlotte is survived by her husband of 60 years John Knight, daughter LeeAnn Baggett (Jim), son Chip Knight (Elaine), grandchildren John Baggett and Brody Knight (Grace).
She is preceded in death by her parents H.R. Leeman and Wilma Sheats Leeman.
Charlotte was born on February 15, 1941 in Decatur, AL. She graduated from Decatur High school in 1959 where she was a proud DHS majorette. She graduated from UNA in 1962 and taught second grade in Tuscaloosa, Al at Skyland Elementary.
She returned to Decatur in 1963 and dedicated her life to her husband and family. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and later became a member of First Baptist Church where she enjoyed membership in the Sara Etheridge Sunday School Class.
