Charlotte L. Rehm Tanaka, 94, met her Maker on Friday, March 8, 2019 at The Meadows in Fulton. Born in Munich, German on December 2, 1924 to M.R. Rehm and Frieda Fluegel Rhem, she grew up in Germany and received her Nursing training there. She worked as a Pediatric Nurse for Children’s
Hospital in Munich. She met and married Mutsuo Takana on October 18, 1950 a US citizen of Hawaii after his honorable service in World War II. They moved to Tupelo in l952. A housewife locally, Charlotte was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. She was a talented artist and her works included oil, watercolor and Sumi painting. She loved pets, crossword puzzles and ole movies on TNT.

A service celebrating her life will be held at 4 PM Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Rev. David E. Mac Kain officiating. Burial will be private. Charlotte leaves behind her only daughter, Ruth Kelly and her husband, James of Tupelo; a granddaughter, Michelle Mauldin (Bobby) of Tupelo and a great granddaughter, Kelly Mauldin of Tupelo and Oxford.
