Charlotte Cousin, 95, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 21, 2024. Charlotte was a lifelong resident of Beloit, WI, present Resident of Tennessee for the last 3 years.

She was born on August 7, 1929, in South Beloit, Illinois, the daughter of Frank and Edna (Bleigh) Sammarco. Charlotte graduated from Beloit High School, Beloit, WI.

Charlotte married Vern Hoff June 14th, 1947, then a sad divorce in 1950 but remained loving friends. Charlotte married Russell Cousin December 22, 1951. Charlotte enjoyed being a farmer’s wife. Russ and Charlotte were members of the motorcycle club in Newark Township. They rode Harleys without helmets, just cool hats and their leather jackets. She enjoyed riding horses and taking care of the animals. She even had her own goose that protected her car from intruders. She was a wonderful chef and baker; it seemed like she was always in the kitchen whipping up lots of goodies. She worked at Newark School as a Title 1 teacher, K-3rd grade. She also enjoyed being a girl scout leader and School Bus driver. She worked during our school hours so she could be home to care for us after school. Later in life Russ and her divorced but she persevered, and she pursued more education, she received her CNA degree at Monroe Hospital through Blackhawk technical school along with a degree in Human Relations and Psychology. She went on to achieve a degree for Activity Therapist at St. Joseph Hospital in Palatine, IL. Charlotte enjoyed life and the jobs she had working at: Fair Oaks Nursing Home, South Beloit, IL. as a CNA, Activity Director, Public Relations, Assistant Administrator. Rockford Manor Nursing Home, Wagon Wheel Lodge Rockton ILL, Beloit College. Live- in care giver for an elderly lady in Florida.

Charlotte became a Born-again Christian in 1983, she touched so many lives for Christ. She was a loving wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Greatgrand Mother. Charlotte attended Living Faith Church, Cornerstone Church of God, Living Word Church. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. We know God has her in His heaven, but we will always have her in our heart.

Survivors include her Daughters: Cyndee Cousin, Susan (Steve) Franklin-Elmer, Son: Dennis (Joan) Hoff: Grandchildren: Michael (Heather) Cousin, Bobbi-Jo (Mark) Wencka, Rachel (Kent) Martin, Jeremy (Alta) Hoff, Adam (Ericka) Hoff, Steven (Lisa) Elmer, Randi (Josh) Wolff, she had 28 Great Grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild on the way, which when told to her she was very excited. Many nephews and nieces whom she loved deeply.

Charlotte was predeceased by her parents, ex-husbands, brother, sister, (daughter Bobbi Cousin) (son-in-law Pastor Richard Franklin) special friend Eugene Zimmerman and her beloved fur babies Tuffy, Chico, & Buttons.

Funeral service will be held January 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM, Pastor AJ Fowler will officiate at Love & Truth Church 2425 Pickwick St. Savannah TN

We will announce a funeral service sometime in May in Beloit, Wisconsin.
