Charlie Paulk Castile Charlie Paulk Castile, 71, of Glen, Mississippi, died on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born on April 17, 1952, to the late George L and Lou Annie Castile. Charlie loved his family whole-heartedly. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed attending races with his son and grandsons. He loved cars and grew up working on them any chance that came his way. He also enjoyed fishing, especially when he got to go with any of his family members or friends. He was a member of Antioch Freewill Baptist Church in Burnsville and a member of Burnsville Lodge #233 F&AM, Corinth Scottish Rite and a Shriner. Throughout his life, Charlie worked at Hardin’s Garage as a mechanic, with TVA during the construction of the Tombigbee Waterway, and at Caterpillar in Corinth, where he worked his way into upper management during his nearly three decades of being employed there. After retiring from Caterpillar, he enjoyed working at Lake Hill Motors in the parts department. Charlie is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Brenda Castile; his son, Heath Castile and wife Tara; his 3 grandchildren, Caleb, Cohen, and Ruth Ellen; his sister, Lou Ann Castile; his special brother-in-law, Doyle Rorie; his many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George L and Lou Annie Castile; and his brother, George Olen Castile. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2024, at Antioch Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2024, officiated by Bro. Glenn Jones. Burial will follow in the Antioch Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Donations may be made in Charlie’s honor to Antioch Freewill Baptist Church.
