Charley Lee Bassham – Obituary

Charley Lee Bassham, age 63, of Crooked Oak, died Sunday, July 15, 2012. The funeral service will be Tuesday, July 17, at 6:00 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Fred Weeks will be officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Bassham was a native of Phil Campbell, but lived most of his life in the Crooked Oak community. He was a former police officer in the late 1970’s, and also served as a security guard from 1994-95. Mr. Bassham was a member of Southwest Nondenominational Church, Sheffield.

Charley was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Survivors include his loving wife, Rebecca McGee Bassham; son, Darrell Lee Bassham; daughters, Tammy Lynn Kelley and husband Rodney, Donna Michelle Miles and husband Brian; sisters, Helen Faye Welch, Martha Ann Cordero; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
