Mr. Charley Glenn Swafford, age 72 of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away Monday August 9, 2021 at his home. Mr. Swafford was a retired truck driver, a job he truly loved. He was also a member of Bible Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, August 13, 2021 at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Voss and Rev. Pete Hess officiating. Burial will follow in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Scottsboro Funeral Home.
Mr. Swafford is survived by his wife, Ruby Jewel Swafford; daughter, Sharon Franks; son, Roy Swafford (Sandra); grandchildren, Hanna Rutherford (Justin), Jacqueline Franks, Trey Jones, Casey Norden (John), and Hunter Reaves (Jamie); great grandchildren, Beau Rutherford, Cooper Rutherford, Christian Franks, Samuel Knopps, Charlie Norden, Josey Norden, Cade Norden, and John Parker Reaves; brother, Tom Swafford; special cousin, Della Hall; special niece, Brenda Swafford; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Jackie Franks; parents, Charley & Bertha Swafford; 5 brothers; 2 sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
