Charles Winston Garner, 77, of Anderson died Thursday, June 26th, 2014 at UAB Hospital.
He served as a minister, retired from Lauderdale County Board of Education and sang gospel music for over 40 years, many with the Victory Singers.
Visitation will be Sunday from 12 – 2 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow immediately in the chapel with T.R. Williams, Morlan Ezell and Junior Daniels officiating. Burial will be Corum Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Garner, Jeremy Huckaba, Josh Howard, Jonathon Howard, Shannon Grisham, Ward Grisham and Channing Grisham.
Mr. Garner was preceded in death by his parents, Ben & Pearl Garner; infant son, Benji; grandson, Charles Robert and brother, Bobby Jo Garner. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joyce Garner; children, Sonya (Barry) Howard and Winston (Leanne) Garner; grandchildren, Jeremy, Kyle (Cayla), Brandon, Josh and Jonathon; great-grandchildren, Jayden & Karsyn and sister, Judy (Jimmy) Grisham.
Charles was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed.
