With solemn reverence, we commemorate Charles William James (Russellville, Alabama), whose life came to an end on August 27, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving behind cherished memories.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman James and Lorene Willis James; and his siblings, Carl James (Judy James) and Ruth Ann Kimbrough (O’dell Kimbrough). He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Nolen James; his children, Melanie Oaks (Tim Oaks), Beth Rhea (Barry Rhea), Stacie Bendall (Brian Bendall), Brittany Faulkner (Jake Faulkner), Charlton James (Denise James) and Kelby James (Audra James); his brothers, Howard James (Brenda James), Tommy James (Ruthie James), Bobby James (Jan James) and Johnny James (Ruby James); and his brothers-in-law, Tim Nolen and Terry Nolen (Darlene Poe). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, twenty six great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Spry Memorial Chapel (907 Jackson Ave S, Russellville, AL 35653). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Spry Funeral Home.
